Pictures of the meeting between the cites buildings, its inhabitants, the history, and the renovation creates new paintings and graphic motives

Once upon a time, there was a farm, where there´s now a parking lot. Theese are the roots of Kirsten Stigsgaard, who´s grandparents used to live here,- and never threw out anything. In the attic, everything was stored, and one day, she found the boxes with old toys and colored papers and packings, worth saving. Grandmother had written on the boxes, what was in them,- and the dolls, pencils and wooden toys were carefully placed side by side, as shown on the pictures. All Kirsten did was open the boxes and move them to the light on the small roof window, where the light could come in, and then, she took a picture.

Kirsten Stigsgaard is the photographer of two books about Danish nature, architecture, poetry and history : "Digtere om Danmark" by Georg Metz, and "Danmarkshistorier" by Jørgen Hansen. Theese photos are made when she drove around the whole country to capture sights and atmosphere from Danish landscapes from the very south to the very North, East and West of Denmark

A young architect coulpe got Wegner furniture from an old relative. What to do, accept it, and redo the home, so the Wegner furniture can get a new up to date life ? Thats what they did,- And they were very happy about the change after all :-)

50-style preserved building in Copenhagen : Vega. Used to be a building for political meetings, today a concert house. 

The world rewarded museum of Maritime Museum of Denmark placed in Elsinore, next to Kronborg 

The danish chef Thomas Pasfall has won the award as “The chef of the year”, and his restaurant “Anden” has won the award “Restaurant” of the year. He just opened a new restaurant in Odense called Pasfall. He was the owner at “Munkebro kro” before this. These pictures are from the cook book “Mit Fynske Køkken” where he shares his recipes.

Kirsten Stigsgaard was the founder of Stigsgaard Copenhagen a brand with textiles for the home. Cushions were the first collection starting in 2010
